Obituary

Ralph Craig Moberly, Sr., 67, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Ralph was born on June 29, 1959, in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Austin and Sarah (Tahagson) Moberly. He graduated from Parkville Area High School, Class of 1978. On May 5, 1979, Ralph married the love of his life, the former Denise A. Lapchak. Together, they shared 47 years of marriage.

Ralph was truly a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. He was known as the family’s “Mr. Fix-It” and was always willing to help someone who needed it. He enjoyed working with his hands and took pride in the things he could build and repair, including building an addition onto his home. There was rarely a project Ralph wouldn’t take on. Ralph enjoyed his mornings in the hot tub, sweet treats, classic cars, and spending time with his friends and family. He was an animal lover, with the exception of cats, and never passed up an opportunity to make someone laugh with one of his dad jokes. He was happiest when he was helping someone or spending time with the people he loved most. Above all, Ralph loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His grandchildren, Isabella and Josie, held a very special place in his heart. The memories they made together will be treasured by his family for years to come.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Phyllis Lapchak, and brother-in-law, Dave Horton.

Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Denise A. Moberly of Bloomsburg; his children, Ralph Moberly, Jr. and his partner, Row Mathis, of Weatherly, and Nicole Reedy of Bloomsburg; his grandchildren, Isabella Reedy and Josie Reedy; his siblings, Tina Kent and her husband, Wally, Austin Moberly and his wife, Audrey, Cheryl Horton, Crystal Hobbs and her husband, Bill, and Dawn Moberly; his siblings-in-law, Nora Ingram, Perry Ingram and Nicholas Lapchak, Jr. and his wife, Tami; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market Street, Bloomsburg, is honored to be serving the Moberly family.
