Raj Rani Chopra, age 84, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. She was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg for over 42 years.

Raj was born on Monday, December 12, 1938, in Muzaffarnagar, India, a daughter of the late Lala Bhagat Ram Kapoor and Jagedish (Kaur) Kapoor. She graduated from high school in India. In February 1960, Raj married her loving husband, Dr. Raj P. Chopra MD who preceded her in death on August 18, 2019. She was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed being a great mother and Dadi "grandmother". She was a great cook, enjoyed great food and traveling.

Survivors include her three sons: Bipin K. Chopra and wife Zulma of Bloomsburg, Atul K. Chopra and wife Namita of Voorhees, NJ, Anuj K. Chopra and wife Ayesha of Danville, five grandchildren, and one brother, Ramesh Kapoor, India.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
