Phyllis A. Rhodomoyer, age 97, of Bloomsburg, died on Friday, March 17, 2017, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Phyllis was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg for over years.
Phyllis was born on Saturday, February 14, 1920 in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late James and Jean (Terwilliger) Appelman. Throughout her younger years, Phyllis attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School.
Phyllis was a member of the Bloomsburg Baptist Church. She was also a member of the . She enjoyed spending her time painting, completing crafts and puzzles.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was also preceded by her husband Roland Jay Rhodomoyer on December 24, 1993; a daughter, Sheri B. Rhodomoyer,and a sister, Beverly Appelman.
Survivors include her children: Susan K. Seiple of Bloomsburg, Rolland J. (Judy) Rhodomoyer, Jr. of Jim Thorpe, PA, and Cary J. (Barbara) Rhodomoyer of Bloomsburg; and a brother: Harris (Sherewood) Appelman of Bloomsburg, PA.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with her pastor, Rev.Craig D. Laidacker, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Phyllis's name are suggested to: Animal Resource Center 301 a Boone Rd.
