Phylis J. (Eifert) Holdren, age 63, of Danville, went to be with the Lord on Friday afternoon, January 22, 2016, at her home in Anthony Township surrounded by her family and under the care of Geisinger Columbia Montour Hospice.
Phylis was born on Tuesday, March 25, 1952 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Philip and Marjorie (Feese) Eifert. Throughout her younger years, Phylis was raised one of four daughters in Catawissa until moving to Lightstreet. She attended and later graduated from the Central Columbia High School in 1970. For over 37 years, Phylis was employed by Geisinger Medical Center as an Administrative Secretary until her health would not allow. Prior to her employment at Geisinger, Phylis as working at the former Ames and Nichols in Bloomsburg. As a member of the Fairview Church of the Nazarene for many years, Phylis was devoted in her faith and the love of Jesus Christ.
In addition to her parents, Phylis was also preceded by her beloved husband of 35 years, Terry L. Holdren, who passed on June 14, 2007.
Survivors include a son, Michael J. Holdren and wife, Lori, of Middleburg, PA; a son, Christopher G Holdren of Danville, three grandchildren; a sister, Vera Showers of Howell, MI; a sister, Anita Heizer, of Berwick; and a sister, Susan Read of Oklahoma City, OK; a brother in law, Jim W. Holdren, of Danville; a brother in law, Richard Allendar, of Enola; a mother in law, Betty Holdren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 26, from 5 to 7 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 107 West Main at Railroad St., Millville.
Funeral Services will begin Wednesday morning, January 27, at, 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Marjorie B. Fisk and Rev. Erik Ireland, co officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the White Hall Cemetery, Turbotville. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Holdren family.
