Peter A. Cooke, age 48, of Orangeville, died on Friday, May 15, 2015 at his home where he had resided the past four years. Peter was born on Thursday, January 26, 1967 in Waterbury CN, a son of Jeanine P. Waters of Bloomsburg and Robert A. Cooke, Sr. of Orangeville.
Peter honorably served his country in the US Army. He also attended Bloomsburg University for three years.
Peter's passion was the food service industry. During his earlier years he was employed by Kurian Catering of Mainville. Currently he was owner and operator of Cooke's Smoke House Catering & Barbecue.
Surviving in addition to his parents is one daughter: Amanda C. Cooke of Mifflinville; a sister: Jeanne Sennett of Myrtle Beach SC; two brothers: Steven C. Cooke and wife, Renee, and Brian Cooke and wife, Lisa, both of Bloomsburg.
Peter was preceded in death by a brother Robert A. Cooke, Jr. in February 2015.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday morning, May 23, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9 St. Luke Way, Bloomsburg. A joint group of VFW and American Legion personnel will accord Military Honors at 9:45 a.m.
Funeral services will also begin on Saturday morning, May 23, at 10 a.m. in the St. Luke Lutheran Sanctuary in Bloomsburg with Rev. Peter Horn, officiating.
