Permilla A. (Crawford) Keeler, age 82, of Bloomsburg died on Wednesday afternoon, December 2, 2015, in the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Health Care Center where she resided since November 25. She was a resident of her Bloomsburg home for 38 years.
Permilla was born on Friday, March 10, 1933 in Bloomsburg a daughter of Frank and Anna (Harp) Crawford. She graduated with the Bloomsburg High School Class of 1951. For over 20 years she used her skills as a seamstress at the former Baranell Sewing Factory of Bloomsburg.
Permilla was a long time member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist church of Bloomsburg. Her highest priority and enjoyment was her family. She enjoyed reading, cross stitch and embroidery. She was an avid reader and was proud to be able to do her own yard work through her last days.
In addition to her parents, Permilla was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton J. Keeler on April 23, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Albert F. Wood in 2007, and also by a sister, Beverly Chapin.
Survivors include a daughter: Mary Anna Wood of Benton, granddaughter: Melissa Miller and husband, Shawn, of Millville, grandson: Richard C. Wood and wife, Misty of Millville and a great granddaughter: Landree Nicole Wood. Also surviving is a brother: Frank "Sonny" Crawford, Jr. of Buckhorn.
Graveside services will be held on Friday afternoon, December 4, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Jackson Cemetery located in the village of Derrs with her pastor, Rev. Audrey M. Broscious, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Keeler and Wood families.
