Pauline Rearick, age 93, of Bloomsburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 10, 2022, a patient of the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital.
Pauline was born on Sunday, February 17, 1929 in Mainville, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Steven and Mary (Kuchar) Petock. Pauline was raised on a Mainville farm with her ten brothers and sisters. She would often reminisce about planting time in the fields with her siblings and parents and how she loved the workhorse named Charlie. She was preceded in death by those brothers and sisters. Brothers John, Nicholas and Michael Petock and sisters Mary Yurcho, Anna Larson, Helen Leiby, Rose Fisher, Julia Whiteco, Margaret Young, and infant sister Alice.
After graduating high school in Mainville she met and married Robert Henry Rearick on June 16, 1951 in Milton, PA. They made their home in the Milton/Pottsgrove area where Pauline was a beautician working out of their home for 25 years and also was active in helping her husband raise and sell Christmas trees.
After retirement she and Robert moved back to Bloomsburg to be closer to family. Pauline was the last immediate member of her family. Robert passed on May 5, 1992 and she leaves behind a brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Also a stray cat named Kitty who she accepted into her home with much love.
Pauline's final wishes for her family read like this. "Miss me but let me go. Some day we will meet again. God has a plan for each and everyone of us to be with Jesus forever in a sinless world of love".
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday morning, June 15th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will also begin on Wednesday morning, June 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg with Rev. Dr. Douglas H. Lyon, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Rearick family.
