Pauline V. Magill, age 88, of East 8th Street, Bloomsburg, died on Saturday evening, November 24, 2012. Pauline was a resident of the Bloomsburg area for over 46 years, and also a life-long resident of Columbia County.
Pauline was born on Friday, July 25, 1924 in Beaver Valley, a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Pless) Kowalski. She spent her younger years attending the Beaver Valley area schools. In addition to working outside of the home, Pauline continually cared and supported her husband and children. She was also a member of the St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bloomsburg.
On February 21, 2003, Pauline was preceded in death by her late husband of over 60 years, Ralph L. Magill, Sr. She was also preceded by her 15 siblings and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet M. Sherman and husband, Gary, of Bloomsburg; a son, Ralph L. Magill II and wife, Patricia, also of Bloomsburg; three grandsons: Ken Sherman, Jared Magill and Jeremy Magill; and also four great-grandchildren.
Pauline enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time with her family as well as visits from friends. Many who knew her were given gifts from her heart.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 30 at 11 a.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc, in Bloomsburg with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Joel L. Zeiders, officiating. Graveside Services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
