(Founder of Stauffer's Glass and Aluminum) Paul "Pete" Stauffer, age 84, formerly of 351 Railroad Street, Bloomsburg died on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Balanced Care at Bloomsburg in Scott Township. He lived at his former residence in Bloomsburg since 1946. He was born on Wednesday, February 10, 1926, in Bloomsburg, the son of the late Cyrus and Elizabeth (Foster) Stauffer. He attended the Bloomsburg Area Schools. Paul was the founder of Stauffer's Glass & Aluminum, Bloomsburg which he operated for 29 years until his retirement in 1989. Paul , as a follower of Christ, was avid in his study of the Bible. He was an artist and enjoyed flowers, fishing in his earlier years and enjoyed spending time at the ocean and trips to Florida. Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Marian (Mataya) Stauffer, a resident of Balanced Care at Bloomsburg; a daughter: Penny Bardsley of Bloomsburg; two sons: Joel Stauffer and his wife Pam of Broadway, Shickshinny RR; Steven Stauffer and his wife Sue Ann of Catawissa RR; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was the last member of his immediate family being preceded in death by a brother: Ralph Stauffer and three sisters: Geraldine Stauffer, Doris Costino and Alma Millington. At the request of the family, all services will be private. The Allen Funeral Home is assisting the Stauffer family with arrangements.
