Paul Frederick Hulse, Sr., age 75, of Danville, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at his home.
Paul was born on July 23, 1949 in Mount Holly, NJ, a son of the late Clifford W. and Norma Mae (Gergely) Hulse. He graduated from the Rancocas Valley High School, Mount Holly, NJ in 1968. Paul faithfully served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from June 25, 1968 until he was honorably discharged on April 21, 1972. He expanded his education by attending Burlington County Community College and graduated with an associate degree. For over 40 years, Paul was self-employed as a Modular Home Pilot Car Operator until his retirement on August 9, 2024. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Mifflinville.
Paul could always be found with music playing, one of his simple pleasures in life. His exceptional green thumb reflected his love for the beauty and tranquility of gardening, a true part of his soul. He was best known for his sarcasm, hilarious sense of humor and funny t-shirts. He loved horseback riding, the peace of the beach, and the companionship of his dogs. Paul's faith and love of family stood strong as the cornerstone of his world.
In addition to his parents, Paul was also preceded in death by a sister, Marilynne James, a granddaughter, Jeralee Ann Brobst and a brother-in-law, Patrick Heagy.
Survivors include his four beloved children: Maureen Hulse and partner, Joe Kantz of Catawissa, Megan Knorr and husband Jeffrey of Bloomsburg, Paul Frederick Hulse, Jr. of Catawissa, Mandy Dinino and husband Scott of Bloomsburg, a stepdaughter, Deena M. Brobst and husband Jeremy of Catawissa, a stepson, Dean Bigelow, Jr. of Catawissa; six grandchildren: Liam Wagner, Kyan Hulse, Ellie Knorr, Lydia Dinino, Rowan Dinino and Quinn Brobst; four sisters: Georgia Sullivan and husband Fran, Norma Heagy, Tina Berry and husband Neill, Wendi Blosser and husband Mike, his ex-wife, Coleen Hulse of Catawissa and his mother-in-law Ann Gaughan.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Elder Gary Horn, Bloomsburg Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Columbia County Honor Guard. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Hulse family. Paul's children would like to extend a very special "Thank You" to Susan Smith of Compassus Hospice for treating our father as family and taking such wonderful care of him.
