Surrounded by his family, Paul William Joseph Dalkiewicz, 65, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of August 28, 2026. He left behind a legacy of hard work, quiet moments, countless friendships, and days filled with accomplishments. For Paul, the world was best experienced at dawn. While most of the world slept, Paul rose to prepare for the day welcoming a fresh cup of coffee, FOX news, and a front row seat to his occupation.

Fueled by the early morning hours, Paul had a legendary work ethic. He was a remarkably hard worker, who approached every task with unmatched dedication, pride and integrity. A highly intelligent graduate of Penn State University and Luzerne County Community College, Paul spent his entire career in Human Resources rising to Regional Manager and Consultant. Over the years, Paul held several key positions beginning his career at Hanover Foods Corporation, followed by Cincinnati Milacron, Mohawk Flush Doors, and MC Credit Union. He most appreciated his last place of employment where he felt valued and supported. Wherever he worked, Paul put his heart and soul into solving problems, building positive work cultures, helping people, and supporting colleagues.

A gift that he was, Paul was born on December 26, 1960 in Scranton, but moved to Bloomsburg as a child. He was a 1978 graduate of Bloomsburg High School and most recently resided in Northumberland. Paul was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Columba Church in Bloomsburg.

Paul was a passionate college football fan with a special love for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Anyone that knew him well, knew to never call him on a Saturday afternoon when the Huskers were playing, especially if they were losing the game. In his early years, Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandfather and brother, spending time at the family cabin at Little Mountain. Even as he grew older, Paul continued to spend his time at Little Mountain and it was there that he met some of his most precious lifelong friends. Paul had a great sense of humor as well as strong beliefs, many of which were based on family traditions, selflessness, as he was a fierce advocate for doing what was right. He was well versed in history and had a great admiration for veterans and the military. Kindness mattered to Paul.

Paul is survived by his mother, Mary Ann (Guzior) Dalkiewicz, his sister Ann Marie Cantore (David) his brother Michael (Christine) his nephew Andrew Dalkiewicz and his great niece, Vera, known as “Little V”, whom he loved dearly as she was his shining star. All are from the local area. Paul is also survived by several cousins.

While the mornings will be a bit quieter now, the family takes comfort in knowing that Paul is resting peacefully. Those who knew him will miss his great smile, his care for others, his calm demeanor, and his truthful words.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron Street, Bloomsburg, with Reverend Aaron Lynch officiating as Celebrant. Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass at 11 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg.
