Norma R. (Sees) Barfield , age 83, of Bloomsburg, died on Friday, April 15, 2016, at her home. Norma was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg for over 37 years.
Norma was born on Tuesday, April 26, 1932 in Jerseytown, PA, a daughter of the late Myron L. and Ruth E. (Avery) Sees. Throughout her younger years Norma attended the Jerseytown Elementary School and then later graduated from the Millville High School in 1950.
On November 19, 1973, Norma married her loving husband, Jesse Mayes Barfield who died September 20, 2014. Norma was active with Animal Resource Center of Bloomsburg during its founding years.
In addition to her parents, Norma was also preceded by two brothers, Dale Sees and Rodney Sees.
Survivors include a daughter, Connie Campbell and husband, Ronald, of Berwick PA; three sons, James Smith and William Smith and wife, Michelle, both of Ferndale MD and Lonnie M. Persun of Tuscon AZ; three grandchildren, Ronnie Campbell and wife, Pamela, granddaughter, Hannah Smith and grandson, Billy Smith; three great granddaughters, Alicia Campbell, Miranda Campbell and Sabrina Campbell.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening, April 21, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg. Funeral Services will begin on Friday morning, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. in with Pastor Chuck Chamberlain, of Bloomsburg Southern Baptist Church, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the St. James Cemetery, Stillwater. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Barfield family.
