Noelle M. Stoker, age 64, of West Main St. Bloomsburg, died on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at her home with her husband at her side. She was a resident of West Main St. since 1969 and formerly lived on First Street.
Noelle was born on Friday, August 9, 1946 in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of the late Erie Mattocks and Gladys Delahoy Zellers, wife of Calvin Zellers, of Myerstown. She was a member of the 1965 Graduating Class of the Danville High School.
After high school, Noelle was employed at the former Cabinet Industries in Danville and was later employed as a secretary at PA Gas & Water Co., Bloomsburg. She then was a supervisor at the former K communications from 1989 through 2001. For the past ten years, Noelle has been employed at the Allen Funeral Home in Bloomsburg.
As an active and devoted member of the Bloomsburg Christian Church, Noelle served as a former Deaconess, Youth Group Leader and was Nursery Co-coordinator. She was also the past president of the former Liberty Fire Co. Auxiliary.
Surviving in addition to her mother and step-father is her beloved husband of 45 years, Malcolm G. Stoker; five children: Bruce E. Stoker and wife, Sandra, of Livonia, MI, Danelle R. Stoker of Bloomsburg, Michelle N. Stoker of Bloomsburg, John C. Stoker and wife, Megan, of Danville and Melanie A. Shultz and husband, William, of Berwick; eight grandchildren and a brother: Craig D. Mattocks and companion, Sharon, of Newmanstown. Preceding her in death was a half-brother: Erie B. Mattocks.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday evening, June 9 from 6 to 8 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg and on Friday, June 10 at the Bloomsburg Christian Church, Deussen Drive in Bloomsburg, from 9 am until time of service.
Funeral services will begin on Friday, June10 at 10 am at the Bloomsburg Christian Church with church minister, Eric Miller, officiating. Graveside Services will follow in Elan Memorial Park. In addition to floral tributes, memorial contributions are suggested to Bloomsburg Christian Church Memorial Fund, 107 Deussen Dr.
