Naomi J. "Omi" Michael, age 80, 130 E. 12th St., Bloomsburg, died Friday,
October 10, 2008 at the Bloomsburg Hospital where she had been admitted
Tuesday. She had resided on 12th St. for the past 55 years.

Naomi was born July 29, 1928 in Beaver Twp., the daughter of the late
Samuel Hinterliter and Hazel (George) Hinterliter Longenberger. She had
attended Berwick Schools. Prior to her retirement in 1984 she had been a
custodian at Bloomsburg University and prior to that the former
Bloomsburg Silk Mill and Milco. She was a member of Emanuel Reformed
Church, Mainville and Bloomsburg American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Darvin R. "Bud" Michael, whom she married
August 23, 1947 and two sisters: Prossie Moore, Foundryville and Darlene
Baker and her husband, Barry, Mainville. She was preceded in death by
two brothers: Samuel and Jay Hinterliter.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 14 at 2 P.M. from the Allen
Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St., with her pastor, Rev. Thomas
Fetterolf officiating. Friends will be received from 1 P.M. until time
of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Emanuel Reformed
Cemetery, Mainville.<< Top
