Naomi B. Letteer, age 94, formerly of Carroll Park, Bloomsburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 01, 2011, a resident of Columbia Montour Home Hospice at Maria Hall in Danville.
Naomi was born on Friday, February 25, 1916 in Buckhorn, a daughter of the late Harry R. and Margaret Brobst Kline. She was a member of the 1935 Graduating Class of the former Scott High School and a 1960 Graduate of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Bethlehem. Until her retirement, she was employed by the former Allentown General Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 17 years. She attended the Almedia Bible Church and also attended the former Church of the Nazarene in Bloomsburg. She enjoyed making crafts, needlework, gardening, bird watching and helping the children at her church.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, the late Challrus "Scotty" A. Letteer, on June 21, 2004; a year old son, Jimmy Letteer in 1941; and two sisters: Ruth and Miriam Kline.
Survivors include three sons: Robert J. Letteer and his wife, Annamae, of Emmaus; Larry N. Letteer of Allentown; and Garry C. Letteer and his wife, Sherry, of Bloomsburg; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister: Millie Boyer and her husband, James, of Bloomsburg; and a brother: Kenneth Kline of Seal, CA.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 3 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home of 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg, with Charles Dyer, Bloomsburg Hospital Chaplin officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Graveside Services will be held in Creveling Cemetery, Almedia.
