Nancy J. (Zong) Trometter, age 90, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020, a patient of the Bloomsburg Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bloomsburg. Nancy was a resident of her home in Hemlock Twp. for over 55 years.

She was born on Thursday, November 14, 1929 in Pottsville, a daughter of the late William P. and Violet M. (Arnold) Zong. Nancy graduated from the Northumberland High School in 1947. Nancy was married to her loving husband, Thaddeus "Thad" Emerson Trometter who passed away on October 21, 1977. For over 12 years, Nancy was employed by Bloomsburg University in the Food Service Department until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Buckhorn. She was also a lifetime member of the Buckhorn Fire Company, The Buckhorn Swingers; (a ladies porch swinging group, solving the world's problems), Concerned Citizens of Hemlock Township, and E.O.S. Therapeutic Riding Center. Nancy enjoyed spending her time loving her grandchildren, playing pinochle, famous for her soups and baking, reading romance novels, and planning the family events for holidays.

In addition to her parents and husband Nancy was also preceded in death by a grandson, Patrick Trometter, two brothers, William Zong and Arthur Zong, three sisters, Violet Zong, Madelyn Fletcher, and Rhoda Atherton.

Survivors include her three beloved sons; James E. Trometter and wife Stephanie of Catawissa, Donald P. Trometter and wife Rita of North Pole, AK, Jeffrey A. Trometter and wife Mary of Williamsport, six grandchildren, Peter Trometter and wife Tara, Eric Trometter and wife Amber, Katie Trometter, Phillip Trometter, Vincent Trometter, Nathan Trometter, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will begin on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11:00 am. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in St. Paul's Lutheran (Straub's) Cemetery, Frosty Valley, with Rev. Gretchen Johanson, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Trometter family.
