Obituary

Nancy L. Pennypacker, age 82, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018, a patient of the Sunset Ridge Healthcare Center in Bloomsburg where she resided for over 1 year.

She was born on Thursday, June 18, 1936 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Guy M. and Elizabeth (Wolfarth) Walter. Throughout her younger years, Nancy attended the Catawissa area schools, and later graduated from the former Roaring Creek Valley High School, Catawissa in 1954. On July 7, 1956 Nancy married her loving husband Lee M. Pennypacker who preceded her in death on April 4, 2005. For over 42 years, Nancy was employed by Emenee and Regal Shirt Factory, Catawissa as a presser. Nancy enjoyed spending her time doing crossword puzzles, watching NASCAR races, especially Dale Earnhardt and watching golf. She also enjoyed taking walks with her friends.

In addition to her parents, and husband Nancy was also preceded by her stepmother, Margaret Walter, two granddaughters, Megan R. Pennypacker and Marla C. Pennypacker, a brother, Guy E. Walter, and two sisters, Alda Norquest, and Betty Levan.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda L. wife of Ray Barnes of Bloomsburg; a son, Russel G. Pennypacker and wife Linda of Bloomsburg; four grandchildren, Joshua R. Pennypacker and wife Nikki, Joy E. wife of Jay Fry, Marray L. Barnes, Brelee L. wife of Dean Musselman, II and eight great grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family and burial in Free Will Cemetery, Catawissa with Rev. Michael Delp, Berwick Hospice Chaplain, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Pennypacker family.
