Obituary

Nancy W. Huber, age 82, of Sherwood Drive, Bloomsburg died on Thursday, June 24, 2010 as a patient of Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Formerly a resident of her home on Old Berwick Road for over twenty years, she was a resident of her home in Sherwood Village for the past nine years. Nancy was born on Sunday, June 26, 1927 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Ario E. and Florence (Ashton) Wolfe. In her younger years, she attended the Berwick Area Schools and became a 1946 Graduate of the Bloomsburg High School. She most currently employed by Columbia Insurance and was a former employee with the Pennsylvania Gas & Energy and Firestone. She was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. Nancy was the widow, of the late Earl Huber, Jr. who died on May 19, 2003. Survivors include a son: Thomas E. Smith, of Idaho; a grandson: Shane Leiby, and his wife, Heather, currently stationed in Germany and serving in the United States Army in Iraq; a granddaughter: Katie Albertson, and her husband, Daniel, of Mocanaqua; other grandchildren include: Jonathan Steele, Tyrone Steele, Juli Webster, Jeffrey Hammond, John Hammond, Jessie Hammond and Jenny Hammond; eight great-grandchildren; a sister: Maryalice Breisch, of Bloomsburg, and two step-children: David Huber and his wife, Rosemary, of Bloomsburg and Gail Huber, of Little Falls, New York. Preceding her in death, including her late husband, are Margaret L. Nuss, Daniel Wolfe, Charles Wolfe, Phyllis Middleton, Harry Wolfe, and Ario Wolfe, Jr. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 1 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home at 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg with Rev. Gary Reichenbach officiating. Friends and family will be received from 12 noon until the time of service. Graveside Services will be held in Elan Memorial Park in Lime Ridge.
