Nancy Ellen Coulmas, age 70, of Bloomsburg, died on Friday, November 10, 2017. Nancy was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg for over 25 years.
Nancy was born on Friday, May 23, 1947 in Richburg, New York, a daughter of the late Harold and Gloria (Tripp) Stohr. Nancy graduated from the Richburg High School in 1965. She expanded her education by attending St. Bonaventure University where she earned a Master's Degree in Accounting and Penn State University where she earned a Doctorate Degree in 1989.
For over 25 years, Nancy was employed by Bloomsburg University as a Professor of Accounting until her retirement in 2013. At one time she was Accounting Department Chair. Her professional responsibilities included a membership in American Accounting Association. Nancy was also a former member and president of the Bloomsburg Theater Ensemble Board of Directors, she was active in the BTE Community. Nancy loved her grandchildren, she enjoyed traveling, and was an avid reader.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was also preceded by a sister, Kathryn Stohr.
Survivors include three children, Robyn Coulmas of Olean, NY, Brian Coulmas and wife, Lynn, of Apex, NC, and Christine Orlando and husband, Steven, of Bloomsburg, and 6 grandchildren.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg.
A time of sharing by Family and Friends will begin at 3:00 pm. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Coulmas family.
