Miles F. Drumheller , age 77, of Catawissa, died on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Columbia Montour Hospice.
Miles was born on Saturday, May 27, 1939 in Franklin Township a son of the late William E. and Ethel I. (Williams) Drumheller. In his younger years, Miles lived on Fourth Street, Catawissa where he met his best friend and future wife. He attended Catawissa schools.
On October 30, 1963, Miles married his loving wife, Carol R. (Longenberger) Drumheller. Miles was employed by ACF Industries of Milton as a Machinist until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Catawissa. He was also a member of the Roaring Creek Valley Grange, Numidia. Miles enjoyed spending his time mowing grass for others, watching NASCAR events, as well as the History and Discovery Channels.
In addition to his parents, Miles was also preceded by a daughter: Susan Elaine Drumheller; a sister, Dorothy Koch and half brothers: Ralph and Robert Drumheller.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 52 years, Carol R. (Longenberger) Drumheller; daughter, Karen C. Drumheller of Catawissa and sister: Marie E. Kahler and husband, Charles, of Bloomsburg, PA., constant companion Sweetie, his cat, and his neighbor lady and gal pal, Pauline.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Drumheller family.
