Michael R. "Mike" Giardiello, age 75, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Monday morning, November 17, 2025, at his home where he lived there for six years.
Mike was born on Saturday, April 15, 1950, in Boston, Massachusetts, a son of the late Michael A. and Accurzia "Gussie" (Bentivegna) Giardiello. He was the oldest of seven kids. He graduated from the JFK High School, 1968. On May 1, 1999, Mike married his loving wife, the former Lisa J. Nemeth. He enlisted in the United States Air Force, November 29, 1973, for 20 years, he was an engineer until his retirement on November 30, 1993. Mike was a social member of the Eagle's Hose Fire Company, Berwick. We all are going to miss him so much. Mike enjoyed his music, nature, fishing, his dogs and cigars. He loved his family and sacrificed for them by doing things to show love even if he didn't always say it.
In addition to his parents, Mike was also preceded in death by two brothers: Paul Giardiello and Danny Giardiello.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 26 years, Lisa J. Giardiello; three children: David A. Demarie and fiancée Amanda Brooking of Bloomsburg, Amanda Bankes and husband Shawn of Berwick, George L. Demarie and girlfriend Cassie Durange of Berwick; 16 grandchildren: Paulina Accurzia Kolakowski, Leah Marie Kolakowski, Shawn L. Bankes, Jr., George L. Demarie, Jr., Bentley L. Demarie, Breeze M. Demarie, Remley J. Demarie, Hailey Demarie, Kiana Demarie, Harlie Demarie, Gianna Demarie, Maddie Bankes, Bella Bankes, Faith Bankes, Hope Bankes, Jordan Demarie; and a great grandson, Dalton Swartz; four siblings: Frank Giardiello and wife Bernadette of NC, Lorraine Giardiello of NJ, sister, Rosie Giardiello of NJ, Michelle Alvin and husband Anthony of NJ, and a sister in law, Peggy Giardello of NC. We want to thank you so much to his Home Health Aide 'Hailey' for helping our dad and making sure he was safe and cared for every day.
Funeral Services will begin on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Summerhill Fire Company, 422 Summerhill Road, Berwick, with Pastor Perry Knouse, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Giardiello family.
