Michael A. Amick, age 61, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019, at his Mount Pleasant Twp. home where he resided for over 26 years.
He was born on Sunday, April 27, 1958 in Bellefonte, a son of Robert M., Sr. and Sarah "Sally" E. (Keith) Amick of Bloomsburg. Michael graduated from Central Columbia High School in 1976. On August 27, 1988, Michael married his loving wife, the former Joyce A. Lewellyn. For most of his life, he was employed by State Aerial Farm Statistics, Inc., where he provided aerial photography to farms and homes in rural Pennsylvania. For the past two years, Michael worked with his son, Luke at SunPulse Solar, Bloomsburg as a salesman.
Michael was a member of the Iron Mill Church, Danville, where he served as a greeter and usher. He was also a member of Pheasants Forever. He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed God's creation through pheasant hunting, motorcycle riding, and camp fires. He loved spending time with family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Michael was preceded in death by two beloved grandchildren, Amber Skye Amick, and Charles Luke Amick.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 31 years, Joyce A. Amick; his parents Robert M., Sr. and Sarah "Sally" Amick, of Bloomsburg, five children; Luke A. Amick and wife Schuyler of Bloomsburg, Noah A. Amick and wife Sarah of Stillwater, Elias A. Amick of Los Angeles, CA, Mikayla A. Amick of Bloomsburg, Sara A. Amick of Bloomsburg, four grandchildren, Zoe Amick, Logan Amick, Emma Amick, Lyla Amick, five siblings; Roberta wife of John Birt of Bloomsburg, Robert M. Amick, Jr. and wife Mary of Bloomsburg, Deborah wife of John Hartman of Orangeville, Naomi wife of Joseph Kontz of Holland, and Teresa wife of Dean Frey of Bloomsburg.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Bloomsburg Christian Church, 107 Deussen Drive, Bloomsburg.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 3:00 pm at the Bloomsburg Christian Church with Pastor David Dixon, minister of Iron Mill Church, Danville, officiating.
