Obituary

Maude I. Dent, age 88, of Main Street in Lightstreet, died on Wednesday, October 06, 2010, as a resident of Balanced Care at Bloomsburg. She was a resident of her home in Scott Township for over 55 years.
Maude was born on Saturday, October 8, 1921 in North Centre Township, a daughter of the late Raymond and Pearl Bower Keller. She was a member of the 1939 Graduating Class of the former Orangeville High School. Throughout her earlier years, Maude was employed by Milco and the former Catawissa Shirt Factory. Most recently, she worked with her late husband and sons, the owners and operators of their family business, Robert G. Dent Heating & Air Conditioning in Lightstreet, for over 50 years.
She was a member of the Lightstreet United Methodist Church, where she was a youth leader for over 15 years, a Sunday School Teacher and also a member of the United Methodist Woman. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #279, the Lightstreet Ladies Card Club, a Cub Scout Leader, the Lightstreet Garden Club, the Berwick Senior Circle and for many years was a volunteer for the Lightstreet Carnival.
Maude was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert G. Dent on October 3, 1982, and eleven siblings: Jack Keller, Jean Kindig, Robert Keller, Carl Keller, Faye Kinn, Doyle Keller, Myron Keller, Opal Keller, Ray Keller, Jay Keller, and Larry Keller.
Survivors include four sons: Edward G. Dent and his wife, Elaine, of Manitou Springs, CO; Rodney W. Dent and his wife, Debbe, of Athens, TX; Terry L. Dent and his wife, Linda, and John L. Dent and his wife, Linda, both of Orangeville; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister: Louis Diltz of Collegeville, PA; and a brother: Wayne Keller and his wife, Marilyn, of Sinking Springs.
Friends will be received on Saturday, October 9, from 10 to 11 a.m. from the Lightstreet United Methodist Church, 1640 Main Street in Lightstreet.
Funeral services will begin on Saturday from the church at 11 a.m. with her pastor, Rev. Jennifer Parks-Snyder, officiating. Graveside services will be held in Lightstreet-Highland Cemetery. The Dent family is being assisted by the Allen Funeral Home of 745 Market Street at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg.
