Obituary

Mary Ann (Whitenight) Hartman, age 96, of Bloomsburg, died on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.
Mary Ann was born on Friday, December 19, 1924 in Orangeville, a daughter of the late Lee and Mary Ellen (Dreisbach) Whitenight of Bloomsburg.
Throughout her younger years, Mary Ann attended the former Scott School, Espy and later received her GED.
Mary Ann married her loving husband, Clark T. Hartman, Jr. who died in 2000 after 58 years of marriage.
For many years, Mary Ann was employed by U.S. Radium as a Handscreener until her retirement. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomsburg for 26 years.
Mary Ann enjoyed spending her time crocheting, knitting and also caning chair seats. She loved her family, who is grateful to her caretaker Mag who took amazing care of Mary Ann in her ending stages of life.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Ann was also preceded by siblings: Charles Whitenight, Darwin Whitenight, Edward Whitenight, Jane Betka and Kathryn Barns.
Survivors include her children: James R. Hartman and wife, Fern, of Bloomsburg, Gregory S. Hartman and wife, Beverly, of Red Lion, and Stephanie Mensch and companion, Robert Lore, of Bloomsburg; grandchildren: Amy Beddow and husband, Brian, of Reading, Erick Hartman and wife, Andrea, of York, Graham Hartman and wife, Jill, of Indian Trail, NC, Dr. Stuart Hartman and wife, Erin of Bloomsburg, Colette Wintersteen and husband, Shaun, of Bloomsburg, Colin Mensch of Bozeman, MT and great grandchildren: Andrea and Ryan Knoll, Braely Wintersteen and Olivia, Eva and Virginia Hartman.
A celebration of life will be held on August 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm at 37 Pony Trail Drive, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Hartman family.
