Mary Kathryn Watts, age 81, of Danville, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021, a patient of the Emmanuel Nursing Center in Danville.
She was born on Wednesday, February 22, 1939 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late John Phillip and Emily (Hartman) Watts. Mary graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1957 and expanded her education by graduating from the Robert Packer Nursing School, Sayre. Mary was last employed by Laurel Regional Hospital, Laurel MD as an Nurse Anesthetist until her retirement in December 24, 1998. Mary was a member of the Grove Presbyterian Church, Danville and enjoyed visiting elderly residents in the Danville area. She was also a Emeritus Member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist and a volunteer with Geisinger Hospice. Mary enjoyed spending her time doing things with her sisters. She loved dogs, traveling and was very proud of being a Nurse Anthestist and volunteering at Geisinger Medical Center.
In addition to her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by a brother, Barton I. Watts.
Survivors include her two sisters; Barbara wife of Tom Huntington of Berwick, Frances Wagner of Mt. Carmel, a brother, Larry Watts and wife Maryann of Detroit, MI, six nieces, two nephews, fifteen great nieces and nephews, and many great grand nephews and great grand nieces.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Watts family.
