Mary Elizabeth Kountz, age 66, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, surrounded by her family at her home where she lived for 35 years.

Mary was born on Tuesday, February 19, 1957, in Berwick, a daughter of the late Bruce and Mary (Deflice) Crane. She graduated from Central Columbia High School. She married her loving spouse, Robert D. Kountz, who preceded her in death on November 20, 2017. She was employed by Bloomsburg Health Care as a health aide until her retirement. Mary was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Mary enjoyed gardening and housekeeping.

In addition to her parents and husband, was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: Tomas Crane, Angela Ann Crane, Elizabeth Ceballo, Earl F. Crane.

Survivors include sister, P.J. Johnson of Bloomsburg, two brothers, Barry Crane of Dover, Herman Crane of Williamsport, a stepson, Robert D. Kountz, Jr. of Arcadia and a nephew, Jeff Ceballo of Bloomsburg.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Lisa Mitchell, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg.
