Mary D. (Alba) Gregersen, age 88, of Bloomsburg, died on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at her home of 33 years in Hemlock Township surrounded by her family and under the care of Commonwealth Hospice.
Mary was born on Saturday, November 11, 1933 in Havana, Cuba, a daughter of the late Jose` and Ruth (Forcey) Alba. Throughout her younger years, Mary graduated from the Bayside High School in 1952. After marrying her husband, Mary traveled with him across the country while stationed with the United States Army. Mary spent her life devoted to caring for her husband and three children. Mary was a member of Buckhorn United Methodist Church for many years. She was also a member of the Union County Kennel Club located Union, New Jersey. Mary's passion was the time she spent training and working with her many breeds of dogs. She especially loved training her afghan hounds competing in outdoor coursing. She had an extreme love of dogs and time spent with her family.
In addition to her parents, Mary was also preceded by her late husband, Roy H. Gregerson who passed on September 10, 2002, and also by her son, Scott M. Gregersen years prior.
Survivors include her son, Michael D. Gregersen of Bloomsburg and her son, Mark A. Gregersen of Lakeworth, FL; her only granddaughter, Julie A. Gregersen also of Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday morning, June 8, at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market Street in Bloomsburg in with Pastor Michael Delp, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Gregersen family.
