Mary E. (Dietrich) Slobinsky, age 74, of Millville, passed away on Sunday evening, March 21, 2021, at her home. She was a resident of her home in Millville for over six years.
Mary was born on Thursday, September 12, 1946 in Pottsville, PA. She was the daughter of the late Victor and Helen Koury. Throughout her younger years, Mary attended the Pottsville area schools, and later graduated from the Nativity B.V.M. Catholic High School, Pottsville.
On May 30, 1998, Mary married her loving husband, Louis Joseph Slobinsky Jr. who died on January 12, 2015. For many years, Mary was employed by St. Columba Catholic Church in Bloomsburg as a secretary. Mary was a member of St. Columba Catholic Parish in Bloomsburg and formerly St. Joseph's Catholic Parish, Berwick.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was also preceded by a son, James Dietrich in infancy.
Survivors include two children: Peggy Schnerr and husband, Buddy, of Bloomsburg, and Rick E. Dietrich and wife, Alyssa of Albuquerque, NM, six Grandchildren: Larry Schnerr and wife, Shannon, Alexandria Dietrich, Jasmine Dietrich, Jocelyn Schultz, Valerie Schultz and Leo Schultz; two great-grandchildren: Averi Schnerr and Logan Schnerr; and two step-daughters: Tina M. Schultz of Bloomsburg, and Jeane Hayman and husband, Jeff, of Reedville, VA .
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Mary will be interred in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Berwick. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 107 W. Main at Railroad Street in Millville is honored to be serving the Slobinsky family.
