Marvin N. Fisk, age 73, of Millville, passed away on Monday morning, October 19, 2020, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born on Wednesday, December 18, 1946 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Eleanor Lenora (Knapp) Fisk. Marvin attended the Millville Area High School. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, working for the Army Corps of Engineers, operating heavy equipment building Camp Rahn Bay, Vietnam base. While in the service, Marvin earned his G.E.D. and was honorably discharged in 1968. Marvin proudly received a Quilt of Valor on November 11, 2018 for his dedicated military service.
On February 9, 1973, Marvin married his loving wife, the former Donna L. Holmes. For over 24 years, he was employed by The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Construction Inspector until his retirement in June 18, 2004. He was a member of the Muncy VFW Post 3428, since September 9, 2001. Marvin enjoyed golf cart rides through the country roads and playing golf.
In addition to his mother, Marvin was also preceded in death by son, Allen James Fisk in 1973, three brothers; Harold Fisk, William "Billy" Fisk, and Kenneth Fisk.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 47 years, Donna L. Fisk, a daughter, Erin D. wife of John Charles Diehl, Sr. of Bloomsburg,a son, Paul S. Fisk and wife Carrie of Eagle River, AK, six grandchildren, one great granddaughter, seven siblings; Lenora wife of Ronald Welliver of Millville, Terry Fisk and wife Rose of Ithaca, NY, Karen wife of Scott Renner of Unityville, Diane wife of John Peischel of Unityville, Mary Lou Bratcher of Millville, Gail Zeisloft of Havertown, Steven Fisk and wife Lynette of Bloomsburg, and a sister in law, Gaye Ann Fisk of Millville.
Graveside services will begin on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 3:00 pm at the Millville Cemetery with Rev. Robert W. Strozyk, pastor of Mill- Green United Methodist Church, officiating. Military honors will be presented by a combined V.F.W. and American Legion group. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 107 West Main at Railroad Streets, Millville is honored to be serving the Fisk family.
