Rev. Martin E. Horkey, age 57, of Berwick, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, March 24, 2019. Martin was a resident of his home in Berwick for over 15 years and previously resided in Nescopeck.

He was born on Sunday, November 12, 1961 in Sharon, PA, a son of the late Ernest and Betty (Jablonovski) Horkey. Martin graduated from the Sharon High School in 1979, he expanded his education by attending Penn State University, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Earth Sciences in 1985. Martin was ordained by Mount Calvary Evangelistic Association. On July 19, 1986, he married his loving wife, the former Janet L. Howard. Martin served as the former Pastor of Susquehanna Valley Revival Center, now Spirit Life Church, Bloomsburg and last worked at Bloomsburg University for 5 years. Martin was a member of the Spirit Life Church, he had a passion for preaching the word of God and leading worship, he loved Jesus and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and camping.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 32 years, Janet L.Horkey, two sons, Nathanael Martin Horkey and wife Kelsey, and David Paul Horkey, all of Berwick, a granddaughter, Lily Ann Horkey, two grandsons, Ayden Nathanael Horkey, and Elijah Constantine Horkey, three sisters, Michele wife of Robert Means, Arlene Horkey both of Sharon, PA, and Marsha Hubicz of Bonita Springs, FL.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 706 Central Road, Bloomsburg, PA.

Funeral Services will begin on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11:00 am at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church with Rev. John Kolenda, Rev. Timothy Zimmerman and Rev. David Brady, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market St., Bloomsburg, is honored to be serving the Horkey family.
