Marlin Craig Weiser, age 66, of Orangeville, died Saturday morning, January 28, 2012 in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville where he was admitted on December 27. He was a resident of Orangeville for three years and formerly lived in Nescopeck.
Craig was born on Saturday, April 14, 1945 in Danville, a son of the late Marlin Clifford and Martha Ema (Space) Weiser. He attended the Danville Schools Area Schools.
For 23 years, Craig was employed by the former Kennedy VanSaun of Danville and was last employed by International Paper of Hazleton for 18 years. He retired in 2007.
One of Craig's greatest enjoyments was boating on the Susquehanna River. He was also known for raising cougars in his earlier years. He was a social member of the Nescopeck and Benton VFW's.
On September 9, 1993, he married Nancy Posey Weiser who survives. Also surviving is a step-daughter: Melissa Weber and husband, Carl, of Fishkill NY; three step-sons: Chris Laubach and wife, Jill, of Orangeville, Kevin Laubach and wife, Kathy, of Millville and Jason Laubach and wife, Bre, of Orangeville; eight grandchildren and a sister: Dawn Farver and husband, Joseph, of Berwick.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 1 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, 107 W. Main at Railroad St., Millville.
Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, February 1 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Mark Stoker, officiating. Private Graveside Services will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville. The Immediate family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions in Craig's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
