Marlin V. "Bud" Boehmer, age 81, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Sunday afternoon, June 15, 2025, a patient of the Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital. He was a resident of his home in Scott Township for over 9 years.

Bud was born on Tuesday, October 5, 1943, in Hazleton, a son of the late Marlin E. and Alvera S. (Sherman) Boehmer. He graduated from the Pennsylvania School for The Deaf (PSD), Philadelphia in 1963. On August 10, 1968, Marlin married his loving wife, the former Vivian J. Link. For many years, he was self-employed with his brother, Boehmer Bros. until his retirement. Bud was a member of the Community Alliance Church, Bloomsburg. He was also a member of the PSAD Pennsylvania Society for the Advancement for the Deaf, Wilkes Barre Society Deaf Club and Penn Jersey Deaf Bass Anglers. Bud loved nature and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He took pride in his craftsmanship in woodworking. He especially loved his family, friends and his beloved dog, Hennessey.

In addition to his parents, Bud was also preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Boehmer, 1989, and his brother, John W. Boehmer, 2007.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years: Vivian J. Boehmer of Bloomsburg; son: Marlin H. Boehmer and finance, Michelle Bartleson of Hawley; two grandchildren: Jeremy R. Boehmer of Mifflinburg and Brett M. Boehmer of Rock Glen, and a great grandchild, Ry Lee A. Boehmer and her mother, Courtney Moran of Bloomsburg, as well as two nephews and a niece.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Community Alliance Church, 1142 Ridge Road, Bloomsburg.

Memorial Services will begin on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Community Alliance Church with Rev. Jay Olivo, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Mountain Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Boehmer family.
