Marjorie A. (Vanderslice) McGill, age 77, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday morning, January 31, 2024, at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Danville.

Marjorie was born on Friday, March 29, 1946 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Hiester H. and Doris E. (Dietrich) Vanderslice. She graduated from the Dixie Hollins Senior High School, Pinellas Park, FL in 1964. For many years, Marjorie was employed by State Farm Insurance in Dallas, TX as an administrative assistant until her retirement around 2011. She was a member of PETA and SPCA. Marjorie enjoyed spending her time with her family and animals.

In addition to her parents, Marjorie was also preceded in death by a sister, Suzanne Romeo, a brother-in-law, Murray Holdren, and a niece, Stephanie Haney.

Survivors include her three beloved siblings: Priscilla V. Dunn of Bloomsburg, Pete Vanderslice and wife Elsie of Bloomsburg, Mark Vanderslice and wife Patricia of Mechanicsburg, a son, Marc McGill and wife Heather of Kissimmee, FL; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral Services will begin on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg with Rev. Robert W. Strozyk, pastor of Mill-Green United Methodist Church, Millville, officiating. Private graveside services will be held in Creveling Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the McGill family.
