Marion R. Yost, age 94, of Anderson, SC for the past 25 years and formerly of Stillwater, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018, a patient of the AnMed Medical Center in Anderson, SC.
She was born on Tuesday, July 10, 1923 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Carroll A. and Lucille (Wolfe) Doty. On May 25, 1940, Marion married her loving husband, Sheldon E. Yost, who preceded her in death on May 5, 1993. For over 5 years, Marion was employed by the former Milco Industries, Benton. She enjoyed spending her time doing crossword puzzles, cooking and baking and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marion was also preceded by a son Arthur W. Yost; two sisters Mildred E. Nevil and Grazia M. Graham, two daughter in laws, Rita Yost and Jacqueline Yost.
Survivors include her four sons, Stephen L. Yost of Anderson, SC; Carroll A. Yost and wife Ferne of Stillwater; Ronald S. Yost of Stillwater; Sheldon "Rod" Yost and wife Peggy of Stillwater; 12 grandchildren; Rodney Lee (Jackie) Yost, Sherry (Skip) Young, Laurie Poorman, Troy Hess, Rhonda (Steve) Hess, Tammy (Darren) Traugh, Val (Geoff) Lancenese, Jared (Sara) Yost, Heather (Tim) Hostetter, Justin (Jana) Yost, Corey Yost and Marion Yost; 22 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandsons and a daughter in law, Linda Yost of Salem, SC.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. John Leatherman, pastor of Dry Run Independent Baptist Church, Duncansville, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Benton Cemetery. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Yost family.
