Marilyn "Toot" K. Kile, age 71, of West Third Street, Bloomsburg, died on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 a patient at Geisinger Medical Center after a brief illness. She has been a resident of her home on Third Street since July of 1987 and formerly of Ridge Avenue in Bloomsburg
"Toot" was born on Tuesday, July 2, 1940 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of Margaret "Peg" (Dotter) Dent and the late V. Jay Dent, who passed on February 15, 2010. She was a member of the 1958 Graduating Class of the Bloomsburg High School. For over 22 years, she was employed by Service Electric Co. as the Office Manager of the Bloomsburg Branch. "Toot" has been a faithful member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Bloomsburg for the past eight years. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Miller, in 1984.
In addition to her mother, "Toot" is survived by a daughter: Vivian Kile of Bloomsburg; two sons: Daniel Kile and wife, Libby, of Bloomsburg and Ronald Kile and wife, JoAnn, of Wellsville, NY; as well as four grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 20th at 11 a.m. from St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9 St. Luke Way, Bloomsburg with Rev. Jeffrey G. Bohan, officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Graveside Services will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
