Marilyn Kelly, a beloved and compassionate woman, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024 at the age of 71. She was born on May 8, 1953 in Fords, New Jersey, and throughout her life, she touched the hearts of everyone who knew her with her kindness, warmth, and free-spirited nature.
Marilyn's heart was as big as her spirit. She had an unwavering love for animals, and throughout her life, she cared for many stray cats, offering them a safe and loving home. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her furry companions, as she touched the lives of everyone she encountered with her kindness and generosity.
A true artist at heart, Marilyn had a gift for transforming spaces. She loved decorating her home, imbuing it with warmth, charm, and her unique sense of style. Whether she was designing a cozy nook or adding a personal touch to a room, her creativity shone through in every corner of her life.
Marilyn's greatest joy, however, was being outdoors. She found peace in her garden, tending to it with love and dedication. Nature was her sanctuary, and there, she found a deep sense of contentment. Her connection to the earth, the flowers, and the changing seasons reflected her appreciation for life's simple yet beautiful moments.
A confident and free-spirited woman, Marilyn lived fully in the present. She embraced each day with enthusiasm, never taking life for granted. Marilyn was passionate about shopping, discovering new places, and savoring the flavors of good food. Traveling was another one of her great joys, and she loved exploring new destinations, experiencing different cultures, and enjoying the culinary delights the world had to offer. Above all, Marilyn cherished the people in her life. Her genuine warmth and infectious laugh made everyone feel welcome and loved. She was a woman who lived with authenticity and joy, embracing life's adventures with an open heart.
Marilyn leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, laughter, and artistic expression. She is survived by her loving husband John Kelly of Bloomsburg and her sister Joan Soltis and husband Ron of Longs, SC. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Walter and Eleanor Flowers.
Marilyn will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
