Obituary

Marilyn J. Dressler , age 82, of Tioga, PA, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020, at The Green Home in Wellsboro under the care of UPMC Hospice.

Marilyn was born on Tuesday, March 8, 1938 in Quakertown Hospital, a daughter of the late William and Helen (Schwoyer) Landis.
Prior to moving to Tioga Marilyn resided in Orangeville and Lightstreet for many years.

Marilyn was a former member of Lightstreet United Methodist Church and currently a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville.
Marilyn's nursing career included industrial nursing at U.S. Gauge in Sellersville, PA and Wise Chips in Berwick. She had also been employed at Geisinger Medical Center and The Bloomsburg Hospital.

She was a 1956 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and a 1959 graduate of Montgomery Hospital School of Nursing.

On April 21, 1962, Marilyn married her husband Herbert Dressler in Christ Lutheran Church in Niantic, PA. That was a union that lasted for over 58 years and produced three sons who survive: David (Jo Ann) Dressler of Berwick, Glenn (Kim) Dressler of Duncannon, and Gary (Melissa) Dressler of Enola. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Haley, Alexxa, Samuel and Jon.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded by a brother, W.James Landis.

In respect of Marilyn's wishes, services will be private at the convenience of the family with her former pastor, Rev. Jennifer Parks Snyder, presiding. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Dressler family.
