Marie P. Parks, age 79, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Marie was a resident of Bloomsburg all of her life.

She was born on Friday, February 27, 1942 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Herman and Viola P. (Swartz) Mills. On June 27, 1964, Marie married her loving husband, Charles H. Parks who preceded her in death on May 8, 2021. She was active with the Almedia Bible Church and enjoyed singing church hymns, she also liked playing bingo, especially with her daughter, going to yard sales, attending the Bloomsburg Fair and carnivals, and very much enjoyed being with family and friends. She loved taking care of family, friends and neighbors.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Marie was also preceded in death by two sisters, Emily Felker and Mary Moore.

Survivors include her three beloved children, Charles H. Parks and wife Sharon formerly of Bloomsburg, Michelle M. Smith and her significant other, Scott Spaide of Millville, Stephen R. Parks and wife Chris of Sugarloaf, eight grandchildren, Bethany wife of Randy Whitenight, Dana Parks, Johnathan Smith and wife Andrea, Levi Smith, Christopher Parks, Caleb Parks, Jedediah Parks, Ethan Parks, and a great-grandson, Parker Smith.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth streets, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will begin on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Parks family.
