Marian M. Stauffer, age 83, a three year resident of Balanced Care Bloomsburg, died on Saturday, January 29, 2011, in the Bloomsburg Hospital where she was admitted the previous Saturday. Marian was a former resident of Railroad Street, Bloomsburg for over 65 years.
Born on Friday, October 7, 1927, Marian was raised by her Lupini grandparents. She attended the Mifflinville School. For 32 years, she co-owned and operated Stauffer's Glass & Aluminum with her late husband. She was also a member of the Bloomsburg Christian Church.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband: Paul "Pete" Stauffer on March 3, 2010 and by a brother Johnny Mataya at age 3.
Survivors include a daughter: Penny Bardsley of Bloomsburg; two sons: Joel Stauffer and wife, Pam, of Shickshinny and Steven Stauffer and wife, Sue Ann, of Catawissa; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 4 at 10 a.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St. with her son, Rev. Joel Stauffer, officiating.
