Margaret R. Mlinarich, age 70, of Catawissa, PA and formerly of Ebensburg, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020, surrounded by her loving family at the Emmanuel Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Danville, PA.

She was born on Saturday, June 4, 1949 in Johnstown, a daughter of the late John and Leona (Stiffler) Smith. Margaret graduated from Church Hill High School, Turtle Creek in 1967. For over 15 years, she was employed as a cashier at Wal Mart. Margaret was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved spending time with her family and her two dogs, Summer and Smokey.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was also preceded in death by her husband Joseph F. Mlinarich in July, 1989 and by a brother, Dennis Smith.

Survivors include her son, Joseph J. Mlinarich and wife Brooke of Catawissa, PA, seven siblings; brother, John T. Smith, Jr. of Colver, sister, Patricia wife of James McDonald of West Chester, brother, Timothy Smith and wife Evelyn of Hanover, sister, Roberta Smith of Blairsville, brother, Robert Smith of Pittsburgh, sister, Michele Smith of Nanty-Glo, and sister, Karen wife of David Hancharick of Nanty-Glo.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1020 Caroline St., Nanty-Glo, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 12:00 noon at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Leonard E. Voytek, as celebrant. Graveside committal services will be held privately in St. Charles Cemetery, Twin Rocks. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth streets, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Mlinarich family.
