Obituary

Margaret Ann “Peggy” Koslosky, 89, of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 16, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply.

Peggy was born on June 24, 1936, in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, to the late Thomas and Kathryn Strange Cunningham. She was married for forty six years to her beloved husband, Robert B. Koslosky Sr., who preceded her in death. Peggy’s life was built around family. She and Robert raised seven children, and in time her family grew to include seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Nothing brought her more joy than being with them. She showed up for every birth, birthday, religious event, graduation, wedding, game and family gathering she possibly could, no matter how far she had to travel. Her family knew that if something mattered to them, it mattered to Peggy.

She loved cooking and baking for the people around her, including the many “adopted” children who became part of her life over the years. Holidays at Peggy’s home were full of food, laughter, noise, stories, and the kind of memories families carry forever. She was proud of her Irish heritage and made sure that pride lived on in her children and grandchildren. Peggy was strong, kind, generous, and deeply loving. Her door was always open. Her home was a safe place for many. She gave freely of herself, not because she had to, but because that was who she was. She served as a hospice volunteer and spent many years caring for many family members who needed her tender care.

One of the great loves of Peggy’s life was her special son Tom, affectionately known as “Big Man.” He was the center of her world. Through the way she loved and cared for Tom, Peggy taught everyone around her what patience, compassion, and acceptance truly look like.

Peggy will be missed dearly by all who knew her, especially her children: Robert Jr., her devoted caregiver; Mary Kubin and her husband Larry; Barbara Rose; Thomas; David and his wife Victoria; Patrice Coombe and her husband Dale; Andrew and his wife Katie Knapp; and her “adopted” son, Richard Wisniewski.

She is also survived by her seventeen grandchildren: Jason (Courtney), Ryan (Amy), Jared (Kim), Dale III, Kyle (Blake), Daniel (Haili), Cailyn, Tessa, Jacob (Caity), Cassandra (Nate), Dominic, Ethan, John, Joseph, Colin, James, and Catherine; and her thirteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Cunningham; her brother in law, Paul Allan Koslosky; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by her infant son, James Christopher, and her brother, Robert Cunningham.

Relatives and friends will be received on Tuesday evening, May 19 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Allen Funeral Home,Inc., 745 Market St., Bloomsburg, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron Street, Bloomsburg, at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 20, with Reverend Aaron Lynch presiding as Celebrant. Graveside committal services at New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg will immediately follow. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to serve the Koslosky family.
