Margaret Jane (Bower) Hunsinger, 91 of Berwick passed away at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family on December 27, 2024. Margaret was born in Berwick on December 20, 1933, to the late Thomas and Hazel (Mausteller) Bower.

She married Gele Orval Hunsinger on November 10, 1951. They were married for 56 years.

Margaret was a 1952 graduate of Berwick High School.

She worked a brief time at Milco and Berwick Shirt Factory and then followed her passion of caring for three generations: her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Margaret enjoyed vacations with her husband and other family members, traveling numerous times to Florida, Indiana, cruises and various fun locations with her grandchildren.

She enjoyed watching game shows, especially The Price Is Right. She also made sure everyone was well fed with her famous beef rice soup, grilled cheese and delicious fudge.

Margaret is survived by her children Debra Hiller and Joe Mowery, Chris Hunsinger and wife Rose, Jill Jacobs and husband Michael. Grandchildren, Jennifer Bantell and husband Mario, Bryan Hiller and wife Christy, Joshua Babb and fiancé Nicole Meracle, and Olivia Jacobs. Great grandchildren, Kelsey, Kodie, Audrey, Hazel, Brayden, Dante, Katalina and Rio. Sister, Edith Mowery and husband John, sister-in-law Trudy Bower and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gele, infant son Brian, grandson Zachariah Babb, sister Doris Wolfe and husband Leonard, brothers Thomas Bower and Henry Bower.

A special thank you to the Geisinger Hospice staff for their loving assistance in caring for our mother at home.

A private graveside memorial will be held at the convenience of the family.
