Obituary

Mabel M. Gordner, age 96, formerly of Millville passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, April 20, 2022, at Sunset Ridge Healthcare Center, Bloomsburg surrounded by her family. She was born on Wednesday, March 3, 1926, in Lairdsville, a daughter of the late Jacob and Elza (Neufer) Miller. She was a 1943 graduate of Hughesville High School.

During the war, Mabel was employed by Sylvania Electric at Montoursville and later worked for Dockey's Shirt Factory which later became Milco. She and her late husband Lester owned and operated Gordner's Market in Millville from 1971-1979. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Unityville.

In addition to her parents, Mabel was preceded in death by her loving husband Lester Gordner, a son David Gordner, a daughter Ruth McHenry and a brother, Marvin Miller.

Mabel is survived by her daughter, Patricia Gordner of Millville; four grandchildren: Susan Shultz and husband Neil, Donna Kramer and husband William, Lisa Kahler Lamprou, and Stefanie Lynn and husband John; six great-grandchildren, Victor Vieira, Hannah Kramer, Maisie Kramer, Maverick Kramer, Alexandria Lamprou, Gabrielle Lamprou, and one great-great-grandchild, Josefina Vieira.

Private graveside committal services will be held in Gordner Cemetery, Unityville. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 107 West Main at Railroad Streets, Millville is honored to be serving the Gordner family.
