Lydia A. Hort, age 38, of Mifflinville, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, surrounded by her loving family. She was a resident of her home in Mifflinville for over 10 years.
She was born on Tuesday, July 8, 1986, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of Gregory E. Woodruff and Roberta E. (Amick) wife of John Birt. She graduated from the Central Columbia High School in 2004. On May 28, 2016, Lydia married her loving husband, Jeremy W. Hort. She was employed by Community Strategies Group, Bloomsburg, as a Rent Coordinator. Lydia was a member of the LCBC Church, Bloomsburg. She enjoyed reading, especially loved cooking, the outdoors, swimming and spending time with her family.
Lydia was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Wayne Hort.
Survivors include her beloved husband of nine years: Jeremy W. Hort; son, Holden E. Hort, both of Mifflinville; father: Gregory E. Woodruff of Danville; mother: Roberta E. Birt and husband John of Bloomsburg; sister: Vanessa J. Woodruff of Mainville; nephew, Alex Kreischer of Mainville, niece, Kira Kreischer of Troutville, nephew, Sawyer Kreischer of Mainville and nephew, Sullivan Foster of Mainville; brother-in-law: Kory Friese of Milton; mother-in-law, Rita Hort of New Columbia. She loved being part of her big Amick and Woodruff families.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at LCBC, 242 Columbia Blvd., Bloomsburg. All are welcome to help us celebrate her life and honor the memory of our sweet Lydia.
