Obituary

Lola Mary Renninger, age 88, of Bloomsburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Monday, December 28, 1931 in Briar Creek, a daughter of the late Rollin B. and Alice E. (Seaver-Campbell) Laycock. After graduating in 1950 from Bloomsburg High School, Lola Mary worked for a short time at Dillon's Floral and Sears Roebuck Credit Department, both of Bloomsburg. On December 22, 1951, Lola Mary married her loving husband, Claude W. Renninger. She was a member of the First English Baptist Church, Bloomsburg. Lola Mary made a beautiful home for her family and taught them to love God. Her favorite thing to do was read her bible.

In addition to her parents, Lola Mary was also preceded in death by beloved daughter, Mary C. Karnes, on November 27, 2006 and twin granddaughters, Hallie M. Penfield, on September 6, 2010, and Hollie Renninger-Guzman, on August 13, 2016.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 68 years, Claude W. Renninger. She was a beautiful mother to her children, Donna F. wife of Joseph Yachimowski of Bloomsburg, Douglas B. Renninger and companion Lisa of Cleveland, OH, Gregory A. Renninger and wife Stacy of Mifflinville, Julie A. wife of Ricky Lown of Berwick, Melanie L. wife of Joseph Crawford, III of Bloomsburg, Diane L. wife of Eric Heier of Bloomsburg, Christopher J. Renninger and wife Shawna of Nescopeck, son-in-law, William "Bill" Karnes of Mifflinville. She was a wonderful grammy to 34 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Dr. Lee Barnhardt, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Renninger family.
