Lois J. Krum, age 88, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023, a patient of the Grandview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Danville. Lois lived most of her adult life in Bloomsburg.

She was born on Wednesday, April 24, 1935 in Cleveland Twp. (Elysburg), a daughter of the late Jacob A. and Bessie H. (Coutts) Carl. She graduated from the former Ralpho Township High School. On November 24, 1956, she married her loving husband, Paul Krum who preceded her in death on July 4, 2000. For many years she was employed by Bloomsburg University as the Bookstore Student Textbook Manager until her retirement. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Women's Civic Club, Red Hat Society, Bloomsburg Hospital Woman's Auxiliary, and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, growing flowers, and reading, especially her romance novels.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers: Leroy Carl and Jamie Carl, a brother-in-law, Robert Leiby, and a sister-in-law, Lois Carl.

Survivors include her family; a sister, Nancy Leiby of Elysburg, a brother, Richard Carl of Glen Iron, sister-in-law, Margaret Carl of MI, sister-in-law, Carol Carl of Elysburg, a great nephew, Jamie Scott Carl of Bloomsburg, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.

Memorial Services for Lois and Paul Krum will begin on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 5:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Dr. Joel L. Zeiders, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Krum family.
