Lloyd J. "Butch" Hunsinger, age 59, a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg, died on Monday, February 23, 2015 a recent resident of the Grandview Health Homes in Mahoning Township in Danville
Butch was born on Monday, June 13, 1955, a son of the late James G. and Frances A. (Evans) Hunsinger. Butch completed his formal education upon graduation from the Bloomsburg High School in 1957. For many years, he was employed by the Bloomsburg Municipal Authority. Throughout his later years, his time was spent working at SUNCOM in Bloomsburg.
Butch enjoyed a social membership at Valley of Bloomsburg American Legion Post #273. He was also a long time volunteer at the Bingo Stand during the Millville Carnival.
In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by three siblings: Shirley Titman, George Hunsinger and Sarah Girton.
Survivors include six siblings: Nancy Newhart and husband, Ken, of Bloomsburg; Rosalie Newhart of Berwick; James H. Hunsinger and fiancé, Jean Hartley, of Mainville; Frances Swisher and husband, Charles, of Catawissa; Hazel Girton and husband, Gary, of Bloomsburg; and Bruce Hunsinger and wife, Donna, of Danville. At this time, all funeral services will be held privately for the Hunsinger family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Hunsinger family.
