Linda O. Martz, age 72, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Friday morning, February 24, 2023, at Brookdale Assisted Living of Bloomsburg, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Tuesday, August 1, 1950 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Robert Eugene and Marguerite Jeanette (Hertz) Johnson. Linda graduated from the Central Columbia High School in 1968. Linda expanded her education by graduating from Danville Area School District Practical Nursing School in 1974. She then went on to graduate from Luzerne County Community College with a Associate of Science degree in nursing, Westminster College, Salt Lake City, Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, The University of Utah with a Master of Science degree in nursing, and Villanova University with a post master's degree in nursing.

On August 23, 1969, Linda married her loving husband, Terry C. Martz, and the two enjoyed many happy years together. Throughout her career as a Registered Nurse, Linda served in various nursing and leadership capacities, including hospitals, drug and rehab centers, home health agencies and skilled nursing facilities. In the last 14 years of her career, Linda was employed by Delaware Technical Community College as an Instructional Coordinator until her retirement in October, 2017. She was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nurses, the Bloomsburg Elks Lodge No. 436, and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 273, Bloomsburg.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 53 years, Terry C. Martz, a son, Jason R. Martz and his wife Michelle of Townsend, DE, a daughter, Shannon K. Taurozzi and her husband John of Catonsville, MD, a grandson, Zachary L. Martz, a brother, Robert L. Johnson and his wife Jenny of Ninety Six, SC, and a niece, Brooke A. Fay and her husband George of Winchester, VA.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will begin on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Gordon E. Smith, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg with a tribute provided by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Martz family.
