Linda E. Andrews' Obituary
Linda E. Andrews, age 64, of Quaker Meeting House Road, Catawissa, Numidia went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the Geisinger Medical Center.
Born on August 14, 1944 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Thomas C. and Olive (Hileman) Vought. She grew up in Danville and graduated from Danville High school, class of 1962. She resided at her current address for the past two years and formerly Bloomsburg for many years.
Linda was employed as a psychiatric aide at Danville State Hospital for twenty-five years, retiring in 1999.
She attended Almedia Bible Church and loved to sing hymns and read her bible. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, cross stitch, crocheting, camping, the beach and the Bloomsburg Fair. She will be remembered for her meticulous planning and hosting gatherings for her family and friends. She most especially loved time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Darlene Lorraine Vought.
Surviving is her husband, Robert J. Andrews, with whom she would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on August 22, 2009; a son, Robert J. Andrews II and his wife Tracy, Berwick; a daughter, Lorra McCaffrey and her husband Dennis, Bloomsburg; grandchildren, Aleisha, Brandon, Nathan, Aaron, Ryan, Jacob and Sara; great grandchildren, Hunter, Keaton, Ava and Joseph; a brother, Thomas C. Vought II and his wife Mary, Bloomsburg; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She also leaves behind her two Shih Tzus, Angel and Cocoa.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 2 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg with the Rev. John Curtis Sutton, pastor of Almedia Bible Church, officiating.
Interment will be in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Friends and family will be received on Saturday from 1 P.M. until the time of service. For those unable to personally attend, online condolences are available at AllenFuneralHomeonline.com.
