Obituary

Lillian A. Ottaviani , age 88, of Bloomsburg, died on Saturday, July 20, 2019, a resident of the Sunset Ridge Healthcare Center, Bloomsburg. She was a resident of Bloomsburg since 1958.

Lillian was born on Saturday, January 3, 1931 in Summer Hill, New York, a daughter of the late Charles Ripley and Sarah (Eaton) Knickerbocker. She graduated from the Homer, NY High School in 1948. She expanded her education by attending Baptist Bible Seminary for two years where she met her future husband, Alexander Ottaviani who died May, 1961.

For over 35 years, Lillian was employed by Milco Industries as a Seamstress until her retirement in 1996. Following retirement she was a part time cashier at Weis Market, Bloomsburg for 14 years.

Lillian was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Organist, Pianist, Treasurer, and Missions Committee Secretary. Lillian was a faithful fan of Bloomsburg Christian School basketball team.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lillian was also preceded by a son, David Ottaviani and two sisters: Grace Bacon and Sarah Viola Ripley.

Survivors include four children: Lois McAndrews of Orangeville, Daniel Ottaviani and wife, Denise, of Bloomsburg, Alexander Ottaviani and wife, Audrey, of Virginia Beach, VA, and Timothy Ottaviani of Boerne, TX, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, and siblings: Delbert Ripley and wife, Shirley, of Booneville, NY, Mark Ripley of Sun City Center, FL, Roland Ripley and wife, Patricia, of Summer Hill, NY, and Hazel Stitzel and husband, Richard, of Sun City Center, FL.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church, 3300 Ridge Rd., Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Timothy G. Smith, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Elan Memorial Park. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Ottaviani family.
